Attorney-General Robert McClelland today announced the appointment of Veronique Ingram as Chief Executive of the Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia (ITSA) and Inspector-General in Bankruptcy.
“It is with great pleasure that I announce Ms Ingram’s appointment,” Mr McClelland said.
“Ms Ingram has an outstanding record of achievement in policy development and leadership in corporate and financial regulation which will be a great asset to ITSA.
“I also wish to thank Mr David Bergman for his work as acting Chief Executive and Inspector-General in Bankruptcy for the past several months.”
Ms Ingram was recommended to the Government following a rigorous selection process. The Government sought applications through the national and local media, and appointed a selection panel to assess and recommend suitable candidates.
Ms Ingram’s appointment is for five years and will commence in February 2009.

Ms Veronique Ingram
Ms Ingram has a Bachelor of Arts (ANU), a Bachelor of Laws (ANU), and Graduate Management Qualifications in Managing People and Marketing.
Ms Ingram is currently General Manager, Financial System Division, Markets Group, in the Department of the Treasury. From January 2005 to January 2008, she was Australian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the OECD in Paris. Prior to this, she was Chief Adviser, International, Economic Group and General Manager, Corporate Governance & Accounting Policy Division, from March 1996 to August 2003.
